Williamsburg Day trip

Colossians 3:12-14 Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

I have made some many friends here at the Village and this blog post is written in thanksgiving for friends who show the characteristics of Colossians 3, and who genuinely make me feel more like an image barer of Christ after being with them!  One of those friends is Gwen, wife of a film student (his program has a much more complex name but I get it all mixed up!), mom of two beautiful girls.  This morning we had the privaledge of joining them in Williamsburg VA while the men shot an engagement shoot, and Gwen and I took our littles around town.  It was the most beautiful of days; the tree's gave us a portrait worthy drive down the interstate, and the historical setting of our destination was breath taking.  What a great day with friends!  Here's some of our adventures :)
.

We got a SUPER treat this month and Nanny visited us for 4 days!!!  It was fantastic  :)  I'm not sure who missed Nanny more, me or my littles, but it was so great to hug her in person!  We laughed, we cried, and made Christmas much more anticipated for this chick!  We took a day and visited a pet store, and a train store, and nanna bought us some boots and play shoes that we found at a thrift store!  It was such a blessing to find them, and for Nanny to be so generous, because I have been looking for a month for thrift store shoes in our size!  Saturday we went to the zoo again (Living Social Deals!) and Sunday was the sad day we took Nanny back to the airport.  It was a great trip and Benjamin can't wait to see Nanny again, and get some chocolate milk :) (chocolate milk is a treat he only gets with Nanny) :)

Here, Nanny asked Benjamin and Violet to put in her earings.  I can't believe how long they kept at it! -

Friday night we headed out to the beach.  It was cold, but it was beautiful! -

This was our Saturday trip to the zoo! -

Wow, October is shaping up to be a crazy eventful month, and i keep throwing gazillions of pictures on facebook, because I don't think I have time to Blog about our events.  Well, now I'm starting to forget details of our outings, so i'd better blog about them. :)  The law wives group here at Regent organized a zoo outing, and although I planned not to go, my friend next door messaged me the night before the outing, and her personal invite combined with a completely free option, made me unable to turn it down! :)

The kids had such a great time, and I was VERY impressed with the zoo!  It's smaller than Omaha, but so much nicer than Des Moines.  We share a wall with Benjamin's friend Leon and they had a blast, with some other friends as well.  Well, here's some pictures:

Violet, with her friend Solomon :)

Benjamin and Leon didn't quite know what to think of the Orangutan!

Leon and Violet: their personalities at best!

Best part of the zoo day! :)
