Our little ham...

discovering that crackers stick to snot

showing off before i put the camera down, to remove the crackers

Benjamin has been so crazy lately!  AKA- a little naughty but a lot of fun!
In all seriousness, Benjamin is sometimes curious of how far he can push the rules or how sneaky he can be, but if Joel or I raise our voice slightly or repeat ourselves, he's quickly aware that we're serious and very obedient.  He's a lot of fun to be with.

Benjamin is sleeping great and a super eater, with the exception of vegetables.  Joel has better luck with them, and they just haven't been a battle that I have time to fight, so he's probably lacking essential vitamins or something.  I think I should start trying harder...

"Whats that?", "Where'd it go?", "There it is!" "It's Broke!" "Stuck!" "UhOhh!" and "Help!" are his most frequent sayings, and I'm learning that he will keep saying them, over and over, if they, or any other word, are not repeated.  He also loves that he knows that puppy and dog are synonymous.  It makes him smile like he's being sneaky.

He still loves to make himself dizzy by spinning in circles, and has been flailing on the ground a lot lately.  With winter dragging on, he has been going stir crazy and runs from our front door to our kitchen door, just because he can.  Someday I'm going to regret allowing this activity!

He's in about 2T clothes, but sometimes I buy big, so he can wear it longer!  We knew he had a growth spurt when one night Benjamin looked at his toes when we put him in his jammies, saying "UhOhh!" His little piggies where peeking out his footie pajamas!

We can't wait for spring to be here to stay, so we can get outside to get rid of some energy! If only we could fast forward to June!

I'm back!

Well, it's been about a month since I've been in the blog world.  I don't even have a good explanation.  Having two babies is definitely busier, but the real difference is having an infant again.  I got very used to my "toddler hours" the last 9 months.  Benjamin slept 11ish hours at night and 2-3ish hours during the day-and always predictable times!  Violet has spoiled me silly by sleeping through the night the last month or two (with the exception of 3 nights that she was congested), but we have a VERY unscheduled day.  Therefore my babes rarely sleep at the same time, and their mom doesn't get a lot done!  I've considered asking Violet to be a little more predictable and have some structure, but "if its not broke, don't fix it."  I like my nights of slumber, so if it means we snack all day with cat naps, than snacking we shall do!

Violet still won't take a bottle, and has again decided to refuse pacifiers(she was o.k. with them for a week.)  She's started this silly little thing where she wants to suck her thumb while she nurses.  When i make her take her thumb out, she laughs at me.  I'm not joking.

Benjamin and Violet are so fun to watch.  Benjamin loves to hold Violets hand, and they both think its great when I sing songs and do actions with Violets hands.   Big brother doesn't like it if Violets socks fall off, or her head band for that matter.  In fact if she doesn't have one on, he frequently takes it upon himself to help her out accessorizing.

Violet is getting kinda big for her bassinet, and we need to get Benjamin out of his crib soon.  Every weekend we say we're going to start on Monday, and then the week goes by, and he remains in his crib.  She has about a month left and it will not be an option anymore, but right now, we do nights in the closet (in the bassinet) and naps on our bed (so I can see her, and hear her better).

Violet LOVES to be ticked, and goes crazy when Daddy tickles her shoulders.  She doesn't necessarily need to be held all the time, but she does like attention/eye contact pretty much constantly.  She likes to feel like part of the party!(I don't know where she gets it from!)

At our 2 month apt (which was more like 3 month), she was 13 lbs 3 oz.  Benjamin was 19ish at 4ish months (I think) so I'm excited to see where she is at 4 months.  I just realized that is this week, so Maybe I'll step on the scale with her in the morning!

Well, thats all for now, but enjoy the pictures!
