There's no place like home

We're home! After a marathon trip of going home to Sully, Des Moines for a Cold Play concert, MN so Joel could preach, CO for training and Omaha to see friends, we are finally home.

Training in CO was for Joel and I's newest adventure with The Navigator's. We're excited about what God is going to do through us on campus this fall and can't wait to get started. Our first assignment is raising support as in state missionaries. I will admit this seemed like a daunting task at first, but as I consider how strong the calling is to be on campus, and how big our God is, I am calmed. I can't raise the funds, but He can. That is very reassuring.

Benjamin did phenomenal. He went through a huge growth spurt and the combination of growing and the high altitude made him hungry every 1.5 hrs for three days. I about pulled my hair out, but we made it! I'm trying to put him down without him needing assistance. (already sleeping by rocking, or any other aid) He did great the last four nights. Tonight was tricky. I laid him down and he immediately cried. I knew he was fine, so I set the timer for 5 minutes before I went in and got him. I held him for a couple minutes and put him back in the crib. I set the timer for 7 minutes and had to go back and pick him up again. I nursed him a little, and then put him down, setting the timer for 10 minutes. He fussed a tiny bit and was out!

We appreciate your prayers as we continue to travel EVERYWHERE the next 6 weeks. We are trusting God as we ask our friends and family to partner with us in prayer and finances, to bring more closer to HIM.

Hope your summers are splendid.
